Proprietary Build-Up Removal

Safe-T-Shot®: up to 3 tons of hardened material per shot.

The Safe-T-Shot® build-up removal system uses nonflammable CO₂ to dislodge hardened material that mechanical cleaning alone cannot address. No flash fires. Electrically ignited. Reusable for approximately 20 years. ATF-licensed manufacture, distribution, and use. Made in the USA.

The Technology

CO₂-powered impact: dislodges what mechanical cleaning cannot.

Safe-T-Shot® works on the cardox principle: liquid CO₂ is contained under pressure in a steel tube and released in a precisely controlled burst via an electrical igniter. The rapid expansion of CO₂ gas creates a powerful pneumatic impulse, up to 3 tons of force per shot. That dislodges bridged, ratholed, or hardened material from silo walls, cone sections, and discharge outlets. Unlike explosive or flammable unclogging methods, Safe-T-Shot® uses only nonflammable CO₂. There is no flash fire risk, no combustion byproduct, and no danger of igniting dust or residual process material inside the vessel. With 350 combined years of cardox-method experience on the Mole·Master® crew, Safe-T-Shot® is deployed safely and effectively, even in explosive environments like coal and grain handling.

What Makes Safe-T-Shot® Different

Nonflammable. Reusable. ATF-licensed. Made in the USA.

These are not marketing claims. They are operational and regulatory facts that plant safety officers and insurance carriers need confirmed before work begins.

Nonflammable CO₂

No flash fires, no combustion, no ignition risk.

The Safe-T-Shot® system uses only CO₂ as the working gas. Unlike acetylene-based or pyrotechnic unclogging systems, there is no flammable gas, no open flame, and no risk of igniting dust or residual process material inside the vessel. Safe to use in grain, coal, and chemical storage environments.

~20-Year Lifespan

Reusable: same device recharged and redeployed.

The Safe-T-Shot® tube is recharged with liquid CO₂ after each deployment. A single unit can be reused for approximately 20 years with proper recertification. Mole·Master® operates ATF-licensed devices and offers a recertification program for customer-owned units. Made in the USA.

350 Years Combined Experience

350 combined years of cardox-method expertise.

The Mole·Master® team brings 350 combined years of experience with the cardox method. Deployment position, tube orientation and the number of shots required are all determined by experienced operators, not guesswork. Operating material carries a USDOT non-hazardous/non-explosive rating.

Applications & Deployment

Where mechanical cleaning stops, Safe-T-Shot® continues.

Safe-T-Shot® is deployed after other cleaning methods have reached their limit, when bridged material above a discharge gate will not fall, when ratholed columns refuse to flow, or when hardened wall crust is too thick for the Big·Mole or Arch·Master® to address in a single pass. The device is inserted through an access port, aimed at the mass to be dislodged, and electrically ignited from outside the vessel. No human entry during deployment.

  • Bridging, material spanning the vessel cone that blocks discharge
  • Ratholing, vertical channel through material that bypasses the mass
  • Wall crust, hardened buildup on vessel walls above the cone section
  • Discharge outlet blockage, hardened material at the outlet gate
  • Pre-heater tower cleaning in cement kiln applications
Hardened buildup that won’t move?

Tell us the material, the vessel, and what you’ve already tried. We’ll confirm whether Safe-T-Shot® is the right next step.

Describe the material, the vessel geometry, and the nature of the blockage, bridging, ratholing, or wall crust. With 350 combined years of cardox experience, Mole·Master® will confirm deployment approach and expected results before mobilizing.
