Specialty Industrial Service

High-pressure pipe cleaning: up to 15,000 psi hydro lancing.

Process piping, pneumatic conveyance lines, and transfer piping accumulate scale, hardened deposits, and blockages that degrade throughput and damage equipment. Mole·Master® clears them with hydro lancing up to 15,000 psi, matched to pipe diameter, material, and deposit type.

Scale, Buildup, and Blockage

Plugged transfer lines cause the same production loss as a plugged silo.

From small diameter conveying lines and condenser tube bundles to large diameter waste drains and slurry pipelines, Mole·Master®’s industrial pipe cleaning service removes build-up and blockages that reduce flow and decrease productivity. For interior lines, high-pressure hydro-lancing, pigging, and rotary tools, rated up to 15,000 psi, scour pipes and condensers clean without dismantling equipment.

With unique polyurethane pigs and mechanical cleaners, wet or dry pipeline cleaning can often be accomplished without completely disassembling the line being cleaned. Mole·Master® uses three primary methodologies depending upon what is needed for a specific project: wet cleaning with high-pressure hydro lances; pipe pigging, using air or water to propel pigs through pipes and ducts ranging from a few inches in diameter to storm drains many feet in diameter; and mechanical cleaning with air motors, centralizers, and air-driven rotary tools designed to cut through hardened buildup where other methods are not effective.

The Method

Up to 15,000 psi: matched to the pipe, the deposit, and the job.

Hydro lancing propels a high-pressure water jet through piping to dislodge scale, hardened deposits, and blockages. Pressure, nozzle selection, and flow rate are matched to the pipe diameter and the type of fouling.

Interior of industrial pipe with heavy scale buildup: hydro lancing required for clearance
Pressure: up to 15,000 psi

High-pressure jetting for hard deposits.

At up to 15,000 psi, hydro lancing cuts through mineral scale, dried bulk material, and hardened process deposits that lower-pressure systems cannot address. Nozzle selection determines whether the jet cuts ahead or rotates for circumferential coverage.

Nozzle Selection

Forward-cutting, rotating, or combo nozzles.

Forward-cutting nozzles clear blockages ahead of the lance. Rotating nozzles provide 360° contact for thorough wall cleaning in fully-fouled lines. Combination nozzles advance and clean in a single pass. Nozzle is selected based on pipe diameter and deposit type.

Safety & Containment

Full PPE. Water and debris contained and removed.

Hydro lancing at high pressure requires appropriate PPE, secured hose connections, and exit-end containment to capture dislodged deposits and water. Mole·Master® crews are trained for high-pressure water work and follow all applicable OSHA procedures.

Pipe & Tube Applications

Process lines, transfer piping, pneumatic conveyance, and more.

Mole·Master®’s pipe cleaning service covers the full range of industrial piping applications, from small-diameter pneumatic conveyance lines to large transfer mains. When pipe cleaning is scheduled alongside silo cleaning or condenser cleaning, it can typically be completed within the same outage window by the same crew, reducing mobilization cost and total shutdown duration.

  • Wet cleaning, high-pressure hydro lances up to 15,000 psi
  • Pipe pigging, polyurethane pigs propelled by air or water, from small-diameter lines to storm drains
  • Mechanical rotary tools, air motors, and centralizers for hardened buildup
  • Condenser and heat exchanger tubes, tube bundle cleaning, often without dismantling equipment
  • Pneumatic conveyance lines, process piping, transfer mains, and slurry pipelines
