Silo Cleaning Equipment

Junior 360°® H: hydraulic cutting head, maximum torque.

The Junior 360°® H features a hydraulically-actuated cutting head just 5 inches in diameter, small enough to fit into flow channels and ratholes that other machines cannot reach. Boom extends from 9 to 28 ft. Sets up in under 30 minutes by 1–2 people. Available to purchase.

Hydraulic Cutting Head

The 5-inch cutting head that fits where other machines don’t.

The Junior 360°® H is a remote-operated silo and bin cleaning machine built around a hydraulically-actuated cutting head. The hydraulic drive provides greater torque and higher operating speed than pneumatic alternatives. The cutting head diameter is just 5 inches (12.7 cm), significantly smaller than competing machines, which allows it to enter extremely narrow flow channels and ratholes before enlarging them. This allows the operator to start cleaning in the tightest conditions and work outward, rather than waiting until a larger channel exists.

The machine mounts positively to the vessel roof opening, providing a stable platform for 360° coverage of the vessel’s interior wall from a single setup position. No repositioning required. The hose reel is independent from the boom assembly for easy setup even in close quarters. Lightweight aluminum construction makes transport and assembly practical for two-person crews.

What Sets It Apart

Every feature designed for one purpose: safer, faster silo cleaning.

Junior 360°® H cutting head: 5-inch hydraulic head designed for narrow ratholes and flow channels
5″ Cutting Head

Fits flow channels competitors can’t enter.

The JR360H hydraulic cutting head is 5 inches (12.7 cm) in diameter, the smallest on the market. It enters narrow ratholes and tight flow channels and begins enlarging them immediately, allowing the full cleaning process to proceed without waiting for pre-drilled access.

Junior 360°® H assembled with boom extended: hydraulic cutting head and sectional boom system
9–28 ft Boom

Adjustable sectional boom for any vessel size.

The hydraulically-assisted sectional boom adjusts from 9 feet to 28 feet (2.7 m to 8.5 m) in length. A 5-foot mini boom is available for smaller vessels or restricted setups. Wire-braided hose runs the length of the boom and resists twisting and collapse under operating conditions.

Junior 360°® H hydraulic power pack: 5 HP 3-phase motor with explosion-proof option
Interchangeable Tooling

Blades, flails, or chain cutters for any material.

The cutting head accepts interchangeable blades, flails, and chain cutters engineered by Mole·Master® to safely remove a wide variety of materials, from loosely compacted grain to hardened cement crust. The correct tool is selected based on the material and difficulty level before mobilization.

Design Philosophy

Safe by design: no human entry required.

The Junior 360°® H was engineered specifically to eliminate the need for workers to enter silos and bins. The unique 360° crane bearing allows the entire machine to rotate in a full circle from a single mounting point on the vessel roof. The operator runs the machine from outside the vessel at all times. Positive mounting to the vessel opening provides a secure platform and prevents the machine from falling into the vessel.

  • True 360° rotation of complete machine from single mounting point
  • Positive mounting to vessel opening, custom bases available for any roof opening
  • Hose reel independent from boom for easy setup in close quarters
  • Sectional boom allows transport in a standard truck bed without special permits
  • 16-inch minimum access opening required, fits most standard vessel hatches
  • Lightweight aluminum construction keeps total weight manageable for 2-person crews
Technical Specifications

Specifications for the JR360H (hydraulic cutting head). For the pneumatic model, see the Junior 360°® P page.

Boom Length

Adjustable 9′ to 28′ (2.7 m to 8.5 m)

5′ (1.52 m) mini boom also available for smaller vessels or restricted roof access situations.

Working Depth

150 feet (46 m)

Maximum hose working depth. Structural aluminum construction maintains rigidity throughout operating depth range.

Minimum Access

16″ (40.6 cm) roof opening

The smallest standard roof hatch that accommodates the Junior 360°® H. Custom mounting bases available for atypical hatch shapes or sizes.

Cutting Head Diameter

5″ (12.7 cm): JR360H only

Smallest cutting head diameter on the market. Designed to enter ratholes and narrow flow channels that competing machines cannot access.

Power. Electric

230/460V, 3 phase

Hydraulic power unit: 5 HP, 3 phase. Available in Explosion Proof (230/460V) or TEFC (208–230/460V, 575V) motor configurations.

HPU Reservoir

5 gallons (19 L)

Hydraulic power unit reservoir capacity. Explosion Proof motor option required for coal, grain, and other explosive dust environments.

Construction

Structural aluminum throughout

All primary structural components are lightweight aluminum. Wire-braided hose resists twisting and collapse throughout working depth range.

Model Comparison

Junior 360°® H vs. Junior 360°® P: which is right for your application?

Both models share the same boom, mounting system, interchangeable tooling, and aluminum construction. The difference is the cutting head drive mechanism.

Junior 360°® H: hydraulic cutting head model
JR360H, Hydraulic

Greater torque. Smaller head. High-speed operation.

Choose the 360H when maximum torque is required, hard cement crust, compacted bulk material, or any application with high-difficulty material. The 5-inch head fits ratholes other machines cannot enter. Hydraulic fluid powers the cutting head.

Junior 360°® P: pneumatic cutting head model
JR360P, Pneumatic

No hydraulic fluid in the product. Contamination-safe.

Choose the 360P when contamination of the stored material is a concern. The pneumatic cutting head uses no hydraulic fluid at the head, making it the preferred option for food processing, pharmaceutical, and any food-grade material. Hydraulic assistance is still used for ease of boom operation.
