Mole·Master® manufactures Safe-T-Shot® in Marietta, Ohio, USA.
Safe-T-Shot® works on the cardox principle: liquid CO₂ is contained under pressure in a steel tube and released in a precisely controlled burst via an electrical igniter. The rapid expansion of CO₂ gas creates a powerful pneumatic impulse, up to 3 tons of force per shot. That dislodges bridged, ratholed, or hardened build-up from silos, pre-heater towers, conditioning towers, by-pass ducts, coolers, feed pipes, or riser ducts.
As a user of the cardox method for over 30 years before manufacturing Safe-T-Shot®, Mole·Master® is uniquely qualified to design and build the product. The company brings 350 combined years of crew experience with this technology. The result is the highest-quality product on the market, one that meets or exceeds all governmental regulations, handles emergency situations quickly, and is supported by a complete service, training, and maintenance program.
Why facilities across the cement, industrial, and process industries choose Safe-T-Shot®.
Eliminates as much as 3 tons of material in a single shot.
Removes hardened build-up in silos, pre-heater towers, conditioning towers, by-pass ducts, coolers, feed pipes, and riser ducts. Does NOT contaminate the material. Virtually eliminates “rings” and “chokes” in rotary kilns. Works quickly, efficiently, safely, and economically.
Reusable. Recharged after each deployment.
The tube is recharged with liquid CO₂ after each deployment and can be reused for approximately 20 years with proper recertification. A service, training, and maintenance program is available to ensure that your Safe-T-Shot® equipment is always tested and ready to perform. Straightening service available to extend tube life. Loaner pump program available for emergencies.
Device is inserted through an access port. Ignited from outside.
The Safe-T-Shot® is positioned through an existing access port and electrically ignited from outside the vessel. No employee enters the silo or pre-heater tower during deployment. MSHA Parts 46 & 48 trained personnel respond quickly from multiple locations for emergency situations.
